ReStore Volunteers

The Monroe County Habitat ReStore is a discount home improvement store that sells new and like-new furniture, appliances, building materials and more. As the fundraising arm of the Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County affiliate, proceeds from their sales fund the construction of new homes for Monroe County families. The ReStore has three different volunteer positions; Cashiers, Donation Reception Assistants (a physically demanding role) and Showroom Assistants available daily, each offering a slightly different ReStore experience! ReStore hours: Tuesday to Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10am-4pm; Closed Sunday and Monday. Learn more at https://tinyurl.com/ReStore-volunteer. Direct additional questions to Austin Fletcher at 812-331-2660, ext. 101, or email [email protected]

Football Concessions with Feral Cat Friends

Feral Cat Friends needs your help in the concession stand at Indiana University’s home football games this fall. In exchange for helping dealerships, Feral Cat Friends will earn a 14% commission on sales that will help them continue the work they are doing to reduce the feral and stray cat population in South Central Indiana. Volunteers aged 19 or older are needed for 5.5-6 hour shifts. All volunteers are required to have a liquor service license. A link will be provided for those without a permit to obtain one prior to their scheduled volunteer day. Volunteers will serve as cashiers, runners, and food preparation and service. Groups are welcome and encouraged to volunteer together! Visit https://tinyurl.com/football-concessions to see the changes and learn more. Please contact Cathi L. Eagan at [email protected] for more information.
